Most people talk about AI. Some people use it. Very few people build with it. Just Build turns you into the third kind.
You take your own idea, your own hands, and real AI tools, and you build something real and put it in the world.
College students. Undergraduate or postgraduate. Any discipline. You do not need to write code. You do not need a technical background.
The new generation of AI tools is the first that can be operated entirely in plain language. The wall between having an idea and shipping a working version of it has dropped. This is built for everyone that wall used to keep out.
Start with a map. Then build.
Every student begins with SWISH, a free 15-minute diagnostic that places you on one of five archetypes, from Spectator to Maker, and shows you where your gap is. Then you pick a track and spend two focused days, in person, building something real. Each track ends in a live Demo Day where you show what you built.
Recruiters have started asking one question: show me what you can do with AI. Foundation gives you a real answer and the evidence behind it.
How the two days work
A practitioner's view of what AI agents actually are and how they do real work.
First principles. What the job is really for, what good looks like, and where an agent belongs.
Solve a real business problem by hand first, so you have a baseline. Then build a three-step AI agent to solve the same problem. Then extend that agent across other enterprise areas: FinOps, SalesOps, IT Ops, and Customer Support.
Turn the result into a story, down to the one line that lands in a placement interview.
What you leave with
A working AI agent you built and ran across multiple business problems, demonstrated live. A measured gain, the time saved against your own by-hand baseline, a number you generated yourself. And the judgement to know where to trust AI and where to hard-code the rules that must always hold.
An elective for students who want to build something of their own. Two days to carry an idea from a blank start to a live product and a pitch.
How the two days work
Pressure-test the idea against the questions every founder answers: who is it for, is the pain real, why now, who else is doing it, can you build it, will it make money.
Create a live AI web app that encapsulates your business rules and workflows, wired to real data and a real flow, working in the browser.
Layer an AI chatbot on top, produce a product intro video, and shape a Y Combinator-style pitch you deliver live at Demo Day, to peers, faculty and mentors.
What you leave with
A live product real people can use today, an AI chatbot, a product intro video, and a Y Combinator-style pitch. A founder's instinct, having taken an idea from desirable to feasible to real. And a launch path: scale it, set it aside, or show it as portfolio.
Most AI training teaches what to click. We teach how to think, so when the tools change next year, you still know what to build.
Builds the builder.
First principles. Problem framing. Systems thinking. The mental moves that don't go obsolete.
Builds the AI.
How models actually work. How they think, learn, and act. Beyond the prompt, into the substance.
Builds the business.
Turning insight into narrative. Narrative into influence. Influence into outcomes.
Tools change every year. This intellectual spine doesn't.
It is applied at every decision until it becomes how you think, for this build and every one after.

This is what built Just Build.
Whichever track you take, you walk out placement-ready. The Ventures elective adds a second path.
You carry a working AI portfolio into the room. When the recruiter asks what you can do with AI, you demonstrate it in 90 seconds instead of describing it. That is what wins the offer when the degree and the GPA are the same.
Ventures graduates walk out with a live micro-venture, theirs to scale, set aside, or show as portfolio. The first product is the hardest to build, and you already built it.
Alongside both, you leave with:
What you use to keep building after the program ends.
Awarded at the end of the cohort, for the work you shipped.
You now know how to go from idea to reality. Again and again.
You know from experience that you can start from zero and create something real.
Just Build carries on after the cohort ends.
The strongest builds qualify to apply for funding through OC Ventures, taken forward with support, network, and guidance.
A long-term community of builders. Your cohort becomes your first real network.
A chance to build inside OC, merit-based.
If everything reduces to one outcome it is this.
You leave as someone who builds with AI.
You leave as someone who has proof. Something real on your laptop that did not exist before.
Everything else is in service of that.
A meaningful share of every Just Build cohort fee flows into The David Foundation, which works to widen access to opportunity for those who begin life with less.
We will announce dates, location, and fees for the 2026 cohorts in the coming weeks. If you want to be considered before public enrolment opens, leave your information here. When the cohorts go live, you will hear from us first.
